~ Room at the Inn, our local emergency winter shelter, is up and running at the former VFW Lodge near Business Loop and Paris Road. They rely on volunteers to prepare simple evening and morning meals, check in their guests and general clean up. Sign up here: https://roomattheinncomo.org/
~ CBS is sponsoring a table at the city’s 30th annual Columbia Values Diversity Celebration Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 7 am to 9 am at the Holiday Inn Expo Center, 2200 I-70 Drive SW. Pre-registration is required by December 30, 2022 at 5 pm. This event typically sells out, so register early to ensure availability. Tickets are $25.
This year’s theme is “Forever Forward.” The program will include live music and the presentation of the Columbia Values Diversity Awards which honors those who embody the teachings of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Tickets and more information can be found at: https://www.como.gov/cultural-affairs/programs-and-services/cvdc/
The 2023 Mah Jongg cards are now available from Dee Dee Strnad for $14 and $15. CBS receives $5 for each card sold, with the proceeds supporting tikkun olam projects.
