Sisterhood

Welcome to the CBS Sisterhood.  We are a dynamic group of people that identify as female.  The goal of the sisterhood is to provide an inclusive environment and opportunity for social, spiritual and service focused activities that bring together the ‘Sisters’ of Congregation Beth Shalom and benefit our community and the world in general.

“No country can ever truly flourish if it stifles the potential of its women and deprives itself of the contributions of half it’s citizens.” Michelle Obama

Why Join?

Joining the Sisterhood will bring you into a community with people that range from all ages and sociological makeups. We are moms, daughters, singles, spouses, partners, grandmothers and just people. We are proud to say our members range from those that stay at home to take care of family to teachers, students, medical professional, executives, retirees and artists.   Many of us are juggling families, jobs, and our need for personal balance. We welcome Jews and Non-Jews alike and many of us juggle the needs of intersectional families albeit race, religion, sexual identity, or disability.  We enjoy the traditions of our community while being open to new things and changing times.

If you would like to join this group of dynamic people, you are welcome.  You can choose to join sisterhood easily when you pledge through our shul cloud system. You can also join at any time by contacting our office or our Sisterhood Leadership. (Current Chair: Laura Flacks-Narrol).
