It’s time to get the Interfaith Garden, located just south of the CBS parking lot, ready for planting. The garden is a partnership with the St. Thomas More Newman Center. Gardeners of any age or ability are welcome to assist in the planting, weeding, and harvesting.

We donate everything we produce to The Food Bank. Last year we harvested nearly 2,300 pounds of food.

In the early season we work on Sunday mornings from 10-noon. As the season progresses, we also work one or two weekday mornings. We’re having an early season work day this Sunday, March 10th. Regular Sunday work days will begin April 14th.

With questions contact Brent (
brentdeelg@gmail.com) or Noah (heringmann@missouri.edu).

Spring’s almost here, and so is your chance to shine! Join the CBS Grounds Crew and turn our synagogue’s grounds from basic to breathtaking.

Debi Kupferer is at the helm again, with Rebecca Smith as co-pilot. We’re assembling a team to help as needed through the growing season. No strings attached – join in when you can.

Why  You’ll Love It

  • Bonding: Forge friendships in the soil.
  • Fun in the sun: It’s not work when you’re laughing!
  • See your impact: Every time you come to CBS, you’ll see your work.

Ready to jump in? Text or email Debi (name, phone, email) at dkupfere@gmail.com or 573.239.9574.

Can you help? We need volunteers to wash the blue tablecloths. Pick up/return any time the new building is open, or during Emily’s office hours (noon – 5 pm, Tues-Fri).

We are scheduled to host dinner at Loaves and Fishes on Sunday, March 31st. We’ll need volunteers to set up, serve, clean up, and contribute food items.

Watch for the sign-up link (coming soon!) or contact Brent at
brentdeelg@gmail.com or Noah at HeringmanN@missouri.edu.
