Religious School
Religious school, Hebrew school and youth group do not meet January 8th and January 11th (winter break)
Come join the women of CBS Sisterhood for a dinner out. We will meet at different restaurants each month and have a nice meal. Everyone pays for themselves.
We will meet Sunday, January 15 at 6:30 pm at Szechuan House, 21 N Providence
Rd. Please RSVP to Laura at flacks-hotmail@hotmail.com. All are welcome.
If there’s one thing Jews can agree on it’s the love of Chinese food! The Szechuan house is back and the food is great. Let’s enjoy together.
Next month’s meetup will be February 12th, and the location will be decided at this month’s dinner.
CBS Book Club
The CBS Book Club will meet on Sunday, January 22, at 4 pm – note time change. We will discuss Kristen Hannah’s The Nightingale.
In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to fellow Columbians in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are serving Sunday, January 29th, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.
Bring food to Wilkes Blvd. Methodist Church, 702 Wilkes Blvd. (back entrance), before 4:15 pm that day. Volunteers setting up/serving/cleaning up should arrive by 4:30 pm. We expect to serve about 150 people, and the need for volunteers to serve is especially critical.
