Loaves & Fishes
Sun March 31

In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to fellow Columbians in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are serving Sunday, March 31st, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.
Note: Loaves & Fishes is transitioning to a new location so there are some changes for our Sunday March 31 dinner:
– We are expecting only about 50-60 guests so our signup slots reflect the reduced need
Purchased food only – only hard-boiled eggs in the shell and desserts can be brought from home.

Start time is an hour earlier – 3:15 pm to drop off food, 3:30 pm for setting up/serving/cleaning up
– Bring food to Wilkes Blvd. Methodist Church, 702 Wilkes Blvd. (back entrance).

Click here to sign up. And thanks!

With questions, contact Brent at brentdeelg@gmail.com or Noah at HeringmanN@missouri.edu.

It’s time to get the Interfaith Garden, located just south of the CBS parking lot, ready for planting. The garden is a partnership with the St Thomas More Newman Center. Gardeners of any age or ability are welcome to assist in the planting, weeding, and harvesting.
We donate everything we produce to The Food Bank. Last year we harvested nearly 2,300 pounds of food.
In the early season we work on Sunday mornings from 10-noon. As the season progresses, we also work one or two weekday mornings. Regular Sunday work days will begin April 14th.
With questions, contact Brent (
brentdeelg@gmail.com) or Noah (heringmann@missouri.edu).
