Last Sunday CBS students helped with the harvest in the interfaith garden. They had a lot of fun picking up walnuts, digging for sweet potatoes, harvesting tomatoes, squash, leafy greens, peppers, herbs, and persimmons.
Saturday, October 29th will be a special evening of uplifting Jewish music with singer-songwriter and MU alum Steven Chaitman. Steven brings inspiring, joyful sounds to Jewish groups throughout the US. His vision is to create and strengthen community and engage the next generation of Jewish leaders.

Sunday, October 30

In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to those in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are serving Sunday, October 30, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.
Bring food to Wilkes Blvd. Methodist Church, 702 Wilkes Blvd. (back entrance), before 4:15 pm that day. Volunteers setting up/serving/cleaning up should arrive by 4:30 pm. We expect to serve about 150 people, and the need for volunteers to serve is especially critical.
