Our annual Project Isaiah food drive officially launches this week. We will have Food Bank barrels in the vestibule and a tzedakah box for cash or checks.

We are not providing bags this year, but please see the Food Bank web site here for what food items are most useful. Also, note their comment here that they can provide up to 75 meals for each $25 donation.

Our Facebook Project Isaiah donation page is another very handy way to participate. Please consider our food insecure neighbors during this joyous season. 

 
For 30 years, Debbie Kaplan has been an extraordinary part of the Congregation Beth Shalom family, helping nurture our community and touch the lives of generations of children and families. As Debbie prepares to retire, we have the opportunity to celebrate her remarkable years of service and the many ways she has helped strengthen our congregation l’dor v’dor—from generation to generation.
 
Please mark your calendars for Friday, October 9, when we will gather to celebrate Debbie and wish her a wonderful retirement. More details about the celebration will be coming in later weeks.
 
But we need your help now. We are collecting photographs, short notes, favorite memories, anecdotes, and brief video messages that capture what Debbie has meant to you, your family, or our Beth Shalom community. Whether it’s a special moment you remember, a funny story, a picture from years ago, or simply a few words of gratitude, we would love to hear from you.
