In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to fellow Columbians in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are serving Sunday, November 30th, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.
Bring food to the Ashley Street Center, 1509 Ashley Street (use the door with the ramp), at 3:30 pm that day. Volunteers setting up/serving should also arrive by 3:30 pm. Clean-up crew should arrive by 5:30 pm.
We expect to serve about 85 people, and the need for volunteers to serve is especially critical.
CBS is adopting two families through the Voluntary Action Center this year: a family of six and a single female. The VAC asks that we spend $50-$75 on each member of the family. Gift cards for holiday meals ($25) are also welcome.
Click here for the wish lists and to sign up. Drop off your gifts at CBS (November 29-December 5) in the foyer of the sanctuary building in a box marked VAC or at Michelle Golden’s home (December 3-5). Put your unwrapped donations in a bag with your name – that helps with identifying who the gifts are for.
