CBS is adopting two families through the Voluntary Action Center this year: a family of six and a single female. The VAC asks that we spend $50-$75 on each member of the family. Gift cards for holiday meals ($25) are also welcome.
Click here for the wish lists and to sign up. Drop off your gifts at CBS by December 5 in the foyer of the sanctuary building in a box marked VAC, or at Michelle Golden’s home (December 4-5). Put your unwrapped donations in a bag with your name – that helps with identifying who the gifts are for.
During winter weather, some of our Columbia neighbors need winter coats, gloves, scarves and stocking caps, as well as blankets and sleeping bags to stay warm.
Please take a minute to check your closets for winter coats, etc. that you can spare. A collection coat rack and a box are located in the foyer of the sanctuary building.
Congregation Beth Shalom provided over 150 meals (including seconds) at Loaves and Fishes on Sunday, November 30th. Thanks to the many volunteers who made and/or purchased food, served the meals, and cleaned up.
It was an especially successful dinner!
