In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to fellow Columbians in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are servingSunday, March 30th, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.
Bring food to the Ashley Street Center, 1509 Ashley Street (use the door with the ramp), at 3:30 pm – note time and venue change! – that day. Volunteers setting up/serving/cleaning up should also arrive by 3:30 pm. We expect to serve about 85 people, and the need for volunteers to serve is especially critical.

This critically acclaimed film (2019) offers a nuanced dive into the power of media – videos from the West Bank as seen through the eyes of a young Jewish American woman. It challenges us to consider how our biases shape our interpretation of the world, while encouraging us all to be more media literate.
After the screening, join us for a live Q&A session via Zoom with filmmaker Ra’anan Alexandrowicz and host David Wilson, followed by guided small group discussions. This is a rare opportunity to not only hear from the director himself about a film’s creation and impact, but also engage in a structured community conversation around media and perception.

from Mary Ann Shaw, our CBS neighbor:
Many, many thanks to CBS!
When I opened my front door this morning, I found the lovely gift from CBS at this time of Purim. Those delicious triangle-shaped cookies are a once-a-year treat that I particularly enjoy. Thank you to all who cooperated to prepare this exceptional gift!
My deepest thanks,
Mary Ann
