 – To volunteer, click here or scan the QR code above
 – Order Hebrew Missouri pride t-shirts here
 – Wear your pride t-shirt to the parade!

On Monday, October 7 at 7:30 pm CBS will conduct a memorial service for Israel’s fallen. The service will include selections from the Yizkor service, with prayers for the dead and for the hostages.

Please join us in the sanctuary as we gather to support one another in our grief, to pray for peace, and to remember the dead.

Columbia’s favorite bagelry, Golde’s, is taking orders for Rosh Hashanah challahs and other goodies, including matzo ball soup.

On Sunday, September 29th from 9 am to noon we’ll be clearing and leveling the ground around the silo.  We need to cut down the remaining trees and haul away the debris. Large river rock is available for the taking.

Bring gloves, rakes and picks. Trucks and saws needed too.

In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to fellow Columbians in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are serving Sunday, September 29th, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.

Bring food to the Ashley Street Center, 1509 Ashley Street (use the door with the ramp), at 3:30 pm – note time and venue change! – that day. Volunteers setting up/serving/cleaning up should also arrive by 3:30 pm. We expect to serve about 85 people, and the need for volunteers to serve is especially critical.

The Tikkun Olam Committee invites you to participate in projects helping our fellow Columbians during our holiday season:

 – We’re collecting new twin sheets, pillows, mattress pads, mattress covers, blankets, and duvets to distribute through SHP, a local nonprofit that builds and delivers beds with bedding to children in Columbia.

A collection box is in the foyer of the sanctuary building and will be picked up after Rosh Hashanah services.

 – From Rosh Hashanah through Yom Kippur, we will be running Project Isaiah as we do every year. Please bring cash or check donations and/or nutritious, non-perishable food items for the two blue Food Bank barrels in the vestibule.

Click here to donate to Project Isaiah via Facebook.
