A Jewish Home in Mid Missouri

It’s Purim Time again!

Congregation Beth Shalom is happy to provide you with a unique opportunity to fulfill two mitzvot of Purim this year: the giving of tzedakah and Mishloach ManotShlach Manos, or sending packages of food to friends. You can honor your Beth Shalom friends and support your synagogue while following this wonderful tradition. Every CBS family receives a Purim gift bag which will be delivered to Beth Shalom members within our delivery area. Members outside the delivery area and non members at Megillah Tzedakah level or above can pick up bag(s) at CBS.

Welcome!

We are a congregation that supports a wide range of programs and activities for members of all ages.

We want to build a community based on inclusiveness, where everyone is welcome, regardless of age, marital status, sexual orientation, a Jew by birth or by choice, or level of religious observance.

Congregation Beth Shalom, or CBS , is comprised of approximately 145 member families from all over mid-Missouri. Located in Columbia, MO, we are one of the few Jewish congregations in the entire region. Although we are associated with the Union of Reform Judaism, we strive to meet the needs of the entire Jewish community. Rabbi Yossi Feintuch leads our spiritual endeavors and serves as a liaison to other religious communities of mid-Missouri. We have active educational programs for both adults and youth, with religious school beginning at the pre-school age and extending through high school. Our efforts at Tikkun Olam remain an important part of our congregational efforts. Please view our calendar for dates of specific events.
