Rabbinical Search Survey now available!
As we enter this season of new beginnings, we think of new beginnings for our congregation. Rabbi Yossi Feintuch will be retiring at the end of 2019, and it is time to consider the qualities to look for in our next rabbinical leader that will best serve Congregation Beth Shalom (CBS) in the wake of this upcoming change. Our CBS board has appointed a group of members to investigate what our congregants would like to find as we begin our leadership search. To that end, we would like to ask for each member of your household over the age of 13 to please complete a brief survey. Thoughtful completion should take between 12 to 20 minutes of your time. Because we are also interested in learning more about the thoughts of members of the greater mid-Missouri Jewish community who are not currently members of CBS, the survey offers an option for them to provide input as well with a distinct set of questions for non-members. Please feel free to share this survey instrument with local friends or family that identify as Jewish but are not members of CBS.
Please click on this SURVEY LINK. The survey will remain open until Simchat Torah, on October 2, 2018. If you have additional comments or questions, or if you have any problems in completing the survey, please feel free to contact Leah Cohn at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to hearing your input.

We are a congregation that supports a wide range of programs and activities for members of all ages.
We want to build a community based on inclusiveness, where everyone is welcome, regardless of age, marital status, sexual orientation, a Jew by birth or by choice, or level of religious observance.
Congregation Beth Shalom, or CBS , is comprised of approximately 145 member families from all over mid-Missouri. Located in Columbia, MO, we are one of the few Jewish congregations in the entire region. Although we are associated with the Union of Reform Judaism, we strive to meet the needs of the entire Jewish community. Rabbi Yossi Feintuch leads our spiritual endeavors and serves as a liaison to other religious communities of mid-Missouri. We have active educational programs for both adults and youth, with religious school beginning at the pre-school age and extending through high school. Our efforts at Tikkun Olam remain an important part of our congregational efforts. Please view our calendar for dates of specific events.
