Correction: At the annual meeting three board members were chosen: Marc Alexander, Tisya Cooke and Tony Winkler.
The CBS Transition Committee is excited to welcome Rabbi Roger Lerner and to help him settle in.

One of our tasks is setting up social get-togethers with congregants.

If you are interested in meeting our new rabbi in a small group setting, click here to sign up.

You may sign up for more than one category (though we’ll probably only schedule you for one.). In June we’ll get back to you with possible dates over the next several months when we know the Rabbi’s schedule.

And let’s help Rabbi Lerner get to know us. We’re compiling individual and family photos into a booklet that will help him put faces and names together. Note: the photos won’t be published anywhere else.

Send digital photos to Mary at hartigan613@gmail.com. We’d like to have the booklet ready for him when he starts at CBS on July 1.

With thanks,

Transition Committee
Judith Goodman, chair

Note: We still need some side dishes and beverages

In months with a fifth Sunday, CBS provides a full dinner to fellow Columbians in need through the Loaves & Fishes program. We are serving Sunday, May 31st, and we need donations of food items as well as volunteers to set up, serve, and clean up.

Bring food to the Ashley Street Center, 1509 Ashley Street (use the door with the ramp), at 3:30 pm that day. Volunteers setting up/serving should also arrive by 3:30 pm. Clean-up crew should arrive by 5:30 pm.

We expect to serve about 150 meals, and the need for volunteers to serve is especially critical.

Click here for the sign-up list. And thanks!
